Why do I only go carp fishing? Well this is a question that usually comes from a non angler. To which my reply is to escape and level myself away from all the stresses and strains of life. I can not think of any other activity that manages to completely clear my mind. I rarely think of anything else on the bank but how to catch my next fish.

One of the many appeals of carp fishing for me is the fishing gadgets. I am a sucker for a good gadget any way in normal life but combining this love of gadgets with carp fishing is great. It seems as though I am not alone in my love of fishing gadgetry. As the number of anglers using them and the range of products that have come out, shows me that there is a clear market for them.

Christmas is a quite time for carp fishing. With only a few of the bravest anglers will get on to the bank regularly through the cold winter months. However that does not mean they switch off their carp fishing brain. Quite the contrary actually, I find the more time I spend away from the bank the more my brain flicks to dreaming about the next session and landing my next fish.

A lot of the phrases and terms are individual or regionally based, but at least some of the brief selection below should sound familiar.
